We all know about it, right?! It is the elephant in the room: WHY DO WE STILL TEACH THE SAME WAY WE DID 100 YEARS AGO?
Instead of fixing this, we have generations of children that get told from day one to sit for six hours, talk only when allowed to, do as they are told, and then we commit them to doing this for twelve years - or not fit in! Should we not feel bad about this? ENGAGEDLEARNING fundamentally hovers around three questions:
- Q1: What if we could enable children to learn faster - in about two hours - instead of wasting six hours glued to a chair?
- Q2: What if we could customise an individual learning path for every child in order to transform the current classroom setup?
- Q3: What if we could turn teachers into motivational coaches instead, once the classroom as we know it is abolished?
Education should empower, not overwhelm, right?! It should accelerate learning, not hold students back, yes?! It should prepare students for life, not just exams!
So where did we go wrong?
